El 8 de abril de 2019, la Alianza de OSC para la Eficacia del Desarrollo coorganizó la Cumbre Mundial de la Sociedad Civil, que reúne a líderes de organizaciones de la sociedad civil, activistas y militantes de todo el mundo. Se destaca la adopción del Llamamiento a la Acción de Belgrado, un llamamiento de la sociedad civil a unirse para defender la voz de los pueblos por un mundo justo y sostenible.
Through this Belgrade Call to Action, civic leaders representing thousands of civil society organisations, and human rights and climate activists, ask United Nations member states to act to reverse the closing and shrinking space for civil society, to stop the attacks on human rights defenders and the undermining of democratic participation, and to renew the prospects for an inclusive agenda 2030, and the full realisation of the SDGs.
