Togolese CSOs meet with gov’t reps on EE

CSOs in Togo met with the Ministry of Planification and Development last October 19, 2018, to facilitate a dialogue with the government regarding fostering an enabling environment for CSOs in the country.
Following the engagement, CPDE’s CSO focal point in Togo was invited by the government to join the session with private sector and another session with the donors on the GPEDC Third Monitoring Round process. The sessions provided a rare opportunity for CSOs to pose questions in an open, multi-stakeholder environment, and participate in consensus-building with the government, private sector, and donors. Through the multi-stakeholder discussions, the Togo-based CSOs found a space for creating a strong national network based on development effectiveness values.#
