Civil society platform joins Climate March to call on states to scale up effective climate finance directed to the global south.
In time for the Climate Ambition Summit at the United Nations, civil society organisations and people’s movements have converged in New York City for the Climate March to #EndFossilFuels on September 17th, 2023. Among other demands, they will ask countries to “decolonise in order to decarbonise”, as a matter of climate justice.
For its part, global civil society platform CSO Partnership for Development Effectiveness (CPDE) is set to push for effective climate finance, anchored in effective development cooperation principles.
