Convened by the President of the General Assembly, the SDG Summit 2023 marks the halfway point to the deadline set for achieving the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The 2030 Agenda is a global plan of action to drive economic prosperity and social well-being while protecting the environment.

Taking place in 18-19 September 2023, the Summit aims to respond to the impact of multiple and interlocking crises facing the world and is expected to reignite a sense of hope, optimism, and enthusiasm for the 2030 Agenda.

CPDE envisions direct engagement through attending:

• The SDG Action Weekend
• The Global People’s Assembly
  • Including co-organising a session on shrinking civic space and human rights
• The High-Level Dialogue on Financing for Development through our participation in the session on “Scaling up affordable and accessible international public financing for sustainable development and ensuring efficiency”
