On 19 September, the city of La Paz was the scene of a Dialogue towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. The Coordinadora de la Mujer (CPDE Feminist Group Sector, LAC region) and the Instituto Politécnico Tomás Katari (CPDE Rural Development Sector, LAC region) are part of the Route 2030 Platform that organised the meeting.
With the participation of more than a hundred participants, the Route 2030 Platform was reconvened with the commitment to continue monitoring the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Bolivia and to promote more multi-stakeholder spaces for developing proposals, in order to conclude with a state of progress in 2024, on the road to the Summit of the Future.
This meeting was led by more than 15 civil society organisations, in partnership with the United Nations System and the support of the European Union in Bolivia. It brought together various social and youth organisations, public entities, private enterprise, international development agencies and diplomatic representatives.
After an intense afternoon of analysis, engagement of actors and drafting of proposals, the agreement to reactivate the Ruta 2030 Platform was signed, in which the participants committed to be an active part of it; to carry out sustained and coordinated work in order to monitor the fulfilment of the SDGs in the country, the drafting of joint proposals and the preparation of a status report on the progress of the 2030 Agenda. Also, to make the platform more inclusive, stakeholders committed to invite other civil society organisations to join the Platform and to finalise a statement of principles of the Ruta 2030 Platform that will govern its actions.
