CPDE announces change in leadership

CAC

L: Julia Sanchez; R: Vitalice Meja

CPDE bid goodbye to two of its former co-chairs Julia Sanchez and Vitalice Meja, who have ended their roles as CPDE Co-chairs after serving for two years.

“We extend our sincerest gratitude to [Sanchez] and [Meja] for their tireless service to the platform,” Network Manager Jodel Dacara said.

Earlier this year, Julia has already bowed out as President and CEO of the Canadian Council for International Cooperation, and is now seeking election as member of the Canadian Parliament. Meja, on the other hand, will still be in the EDC circle in his capacity as the Non-Executive Co-chair of the GPEDC.

Members of the platform will elect their replacement at the 6th Global Council meeting in February 2019.

Brian Tomlinson, who has diligently served us in different capacities since the BA/OF days, has also decided to step down as CC member representing North America. Brian served as co-chair of the CSO Enabling Environment WG, member of the CPDE delegation to the Task Team on CSO DE and EE, and Chair of the GPEDC Monitoring Advisory Group.

“We thank them for the leadership and wisdom they brought into the platform, as we wish them all the success in future endeavours,” Dacara added.#
