New York, April 27, 2018 – The ICSO CPDE Group, in cooperation with the Finance for Development (FfD) CSO Group, will hold a face-to-face meeting in New York (USA) on April 27th, 2018, following the ECOSOC Forum on Financing for Development (FfD Forum, 23th – 26th April).
After the Strategic Planning Meeting held in December 2017 at FAO Headquarters in Rome, the meeting will provide with an opportunity to share knowledge and lessons from the FFD Forum with a focus on exploring the nexus between the FfD agenda and the effectiveness framework.
The idea behind the event is to provide a space to work together, to share updates on the Global Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation, to help strengthen CSO alliances that can bring together expertise from different backgrounds and then to maximize the impact of future plans.
To this end, the meeting will see the broadest possible participation of CSO delegates, especially from the global south. All CPDE constituencies and CSO platforms are encouraged to participate.
A working session for CPDE will also be held in the evening of April 26th to focus on ICSO constituency and CPDE engagement.
Expected results of the meeting include the adoption of a plan for future actions, in cooperation with the FfD CSO Group.
